William J. Cagle is a speculative fiction writer, editor, and educator currently based in Berkeley, CA.

He holds an MFA in Speculative Fiction from Sarah Lawrence College and a B.A. in Creative Writing and Anthropology from Columbia University.

His writing centers the climate crisis and disability justice. He has been a left hand amputee since the age of seven.
